Tombs of the Kings, Paphos, Cyprus

These tombs are located on the outskirts of the historical city of Paphos.  They date back to the 4th Century BC and continued to be used until the 3rd Century AD. They were used for the burials of aristocrats and officials rather than kings.  The tombs are cut out of the rock and vary in size and level of decoration.  Some take the form of small caves whereas others feature carved columns and frescos.  They are a great place to explore and upon entrance to the site, tourists are free to roam.
